Cuc Phuong National Park is the oldest national park in Vietnam Established in 1962 in Ninh Binh Province of Vietnam. Cuc Phuong National Park one of the most important sites for biodiversity in the country. Cuc Phuong boasts an engaging cultural and wild life and enchanting scenery.
The ancient forest harbors over 2234 vascular and non vascular plants, 122 species of reptiles and amphibians, and 135 species of mammals, including the Clouded Leopard, Delacruz’s Languor , Weston’s Civet and Asian Bleak Bear, there are also an incredible 336 documented bird species, thousands of vibrant butter flies.
Located on 2 Limestone mountain ranges, the landscape of Cuc Phuong contains a wonderfully rich ecosystem. The rocky outcrops of Cuc Phuong form the site of valuable pale ontological and anthropological vestiges, including a fossilized sea reptile dated at 200 – 300 million year old, while the remains of prehistoric people who lived in the forest some 7500 years ago are also to be found in the numerous mountain caves.
In earlier times, Cuc Phuong was home to the Muong minority people and to this day a few scattered villages around the park’s periphery still house these interesting people and their unique culture. Visiting the parks is a terrific opportunity to get a close look at Vietnam’s nature and fees generated from tourism help protect the parks wildlife and improve the local economy, beside there you can still learn about historic and culture of local people in here and see their traditional stilt houses, waterwheels, bamboo rafts and brocade looms…

10.30: Arrive at Cuc Phuong National Park. Your visit begins at the Endangered Primate Rescue Center. The primate center was established in 1993 with the help of the Frankfurt Zoological Society and has grown to 100 animals in 30 cages, 4 houses, two semi – wild enclosure
12.00: Have lunch at local restaurant in Cuc Phuong with Vietnamese food
13.oo: Depart to the park center , on the way visit the Cave of Early Man ( had over 7000 years) then you’ll start a long trek through the forest to learn about the diverse flora and fauna of the park. You’ll also make stops at Cho Chi, the oldest tree in the forest, a number of picturesque steams and waterfalls.
16.00: Get on the bus transfer back to Hanoi
19.00: Arrive Hanoi Old Quarter. The end of great tour.
