Itinerary: Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Mua Cave

7.30-8.00: Our Limousine bus and tour guide will pick you up at your hotels around in the Hanoi Old Quarter for departure to Ninh Binh about 90km take 2 hours.

10.00: Arriving Hoa Lu- ancient capital of Vietnam from 986-1010. Where you can learn more about the first feudal government of Vietnam. We will visit Dinh King temple and Le King temple in the 10^th century, finding out the heroic histories of this two king in Chinese war

10.30: Get on the bus go to visit Mua Cave, where you can get the impressive panoramic view of Tam Coc and NinhBinh city when you reach the top point of Ngoa Long mountain.

12.00: Enjoy lunch with plenty of traditional Vietnamese foods such as: spring rolls, goat meat…etc.

13.00: Discovering Tam Coc on the sampan (bamboo boat). With nearly 2 hours, tourists will have chance to mix with the local life, river, limestone mountains, fields… Passing through 3 caves: Hang Ca- first cave, Hang Hai- second cave, Hang Ba- the third cave by boat will bring to you excited feeling

15.00: We have 1 hour of cycling you will be amazed by the beauty of countryside in the North of Vietnam. Our tour guide will introduce to you the architecture of the traditional house and the life of local family.

Tour Information

1. HOA LU – ANCIENT CAPITAL

 

Hoa Lu is some 110 km or 2 hours from Hanoi. Located near the town of Ninh Binh , Hoa Lu is ancient capital of an Vietnamese Kingdom called Dai Co Viet. This small Kingdom covered an area of only 300 hectares,and reigned from th 10^th century , during the Dinh and Le dynasties, to the 11^th century, during thE Ly dynasty. The Kingdom was an closed by citadel. The citadel and the Yen Ngua limestone hills provided good defense for this kingdom against the Chinese

Not much of this ancient kingdom is left stand in. Whatever the remains of the palaces and shrines would only be of interest to  archaeologists. There are two 17^th century temples, modeled after 11^th century original that are on most itineraries to Hoa Lu. They are the Dinh Tien Hoang Temple and Le Hoan Temple

 

2.TAM COC UNIQUE BOAT TRIP

 

 Tam Coc is located about 90 km south of Hanoi in Ninh Binh province and 7 km to the West of the city of Ninh Binh

Tam Coc is mean 3 caves, is a zone of Vietnam that elapses between rice paddies, bath by the Ngo Dong river punctuated by karst rock format

 Ons and limestone caves. The rock formations, caves, water and landscape have made Tam Coc to know popularly as “Halong Bay on land”

The Tam Coc experience begins at the Van Lam, where we will rowing sampan through the Ngo Dong River. By our tour through the natural park will contemplate rock formations, we go through caves, visit pagodas, monuments and buildings of times of the Vietnam’s legend.

 

3.MUA CAVE – DANCING CAVE

 

Mua Cave has its meaning as” Dancing cave” because this site was previously considered as the place where Tran king used to come to enjoy dancing & singing shows performed in this cave.

Down a sleepy road between rice paddies, this cave is not terribly impressive, but there are panoramic views from the peak above. A stone staircase beside the cave entrance zigzags through the karst (beware the goat droppings) and it’s almost 500 steps to a simple altar to Quan Am (the Goddess of Mercy). Look west for the Ngo Dong River winding through Tam Coc.The climb is paved but steep in sections, so bring water and allow an hour return. Mua Cave is 5km from Ninh Binh and is a popular stop on Tam Coc tours.
